Questions
The things people ask before they join.
- Do I have to answer everything?
- No. Every question has a pass, it takes one tap, and nobody is told you used it. Passing is a complete answer.
- Can other people see what I write?
- Only the people in your Circle, and only after everyone has answered or passed. Nothing appears outside it.
- Is it end-to-end encrypted?
- No, and we will not say otherwise. Your Guide reads session answers so it can ask sensible follow-up questions, which rules out end-to-end encryption for that content. The privacy page explains exactly what that means.
- Can admins see who wrote an anonymous answer?
- No. Nobody can, including us in ordinary operation. It is enforced by how the data is stored and who may read it, not by hiding a name in the app.
- Is this therapy?
- No. Your Guide facilitates a conversation between people who already know each other. It is not a clinician, gives no advice about your health, and does not present itself as either.
- What if a conversation goes somewhere serious?
- Your Guide stops asking questions and points to real help. Unwritten is not a crisis service and will not try to act like one.
- Does it train AI on my conversations?
- No. We do not train AI on your conversations and we do not sell them.
- What happens if I leave?
- You can delete your account, which removes your answers and your reflections. Where a record must be kept for a safety report, we keep only what is required and say so.
- How much does it cost?
- Pricing is not settled yet. When it is, it will be on this site before it is in the app.
